By trade, I am a soap maker and a fiber artist. I absolutely love what I do. I have always had a very creative spirit within me. I was never one to conform to societal norms; marching to my own drum is still crucial to my existence.
im also a full time, adult student. I am majoring in philosophy for one of two reasons: I am a glutton for punishment, or I think too much. Honestly though, I've always loved the humanities. Being an artsy type of person my whole life, anyone could see that this was a natural fit. I am constantly asked what I plan on doing with it. The answer is that I'm doing it. I use it every day. It's made me a better artist and a better business owner. Personal enrichment, I feel is just as important as professional purposes.
Im strong willed, but passionate about who I am, and what I do. It took me a long time to love ,yield and be ok with not walking the typically "normal" path. I had to make my str nights work for me. I heard a saying once, though I cannot recall from whom I heard it, however, it goes something like this: "find something that you love; something that you're passionate about, and then figure out how to make a living with it."
